its tuesday and i am getting around to watching the racing for the weekend (i live by the dvr).
i stopped watching nascar earlier in the year.
since i am from around indy i have always been a proponent of open wheel racing.
nascar, i now call it japcar. before toyota i called it crapcar, back in the early 90's, me and my open wheel friends had a general disagreement with the stock car fans.... at the time we called nascar the WWF of racing. That continued forever they said it was great racing, we countered it was contrived. anytime nascar needed a storyline to continue it somehow seemed to happen.
racer one has a 10 year winning streak, bam 2 races from the end of the season.. a win.... next best finish of the year 23rd. racer two, needs a top 10 to secure funding from sponsor.. damn, finishes #9. next best finish of the year 17th.
when the COT supposedly meaning the "car of tomorrow" was orchestrated by toyota with the france family. spec racing, which had been happening for years had come to completion. with spec racing, small transgressions that used to be overlooked are big. cot means "car of toyota". the france family now has complete control of the story lines in japcar. do not think for a moment that they are not manipulating what is happening.
